"reset" like losing all your mail?

What do you mean by "defined as my company name"?
I do use IMAP accounts, and it works fine for me. The name for any
particular account does not interfere with the actual mail folders.
There should be a folder named "INBOX" as a child node in the IMAP
account's tree.

Sounds like a vicious artificial intelligence... SCNR ;)

The error message "This folder cannot contain messages" most likely
means, that it is a parent node with children, rather than a leaf node
containing mails.
Does your IMAP server support support directories containing mails? Is
there by any chance mail delivered to children nonetheless (in those
important cases)?
