Just did an the following:

1) rsync to backup my data :>)
2) open Red-Carpet and select to remove evolution and evolution-data
server (which removed connector and other various pieces).
3) Closed Red-Carpet and verify that ~\.evolution was still their and
full of emails.
4) Open Red-Carpet up and select to install evolution-development and
Connector-development
5) After install verified all data was present and fine.
6) Try to open evolution. It hung (five minutes later) 'evolution --
force-shutdown' -> New handy button I made on desktop:>( Turned out to
be an issue where I could not get it to open up until I VPNed into
corporate. Once I did this it opened.
7) All mail is fine. And accounts are their. Filters working.

I started reviewing my ~/.bash_history and see no time when I could have
deleted .evolution. I can't believe I would have been that stupid
(though that would be in the logs). Only thing I can think of was either
1) I am that stupid (possible) 2) The issue I went through the process
of doing the 'uninstall' in the first place for was to solve a
dependency issue which prevented me from upgrading to the latest builds.
