Yes, I do agree here. The Personal Calendar should be enabled by default
on a new Account. If it isn't, this really is a usability bug and should
be fixed ASAP. (Time is running out for 2.2.0...)

FWIW, I'm using "Evolution 2" since some early 1.5 days. I don't even
remember, when that was. And yes, I haven't created new accounts myself
for quite a long time... ;-)

This would be bad, as the Appointment creation dialog lets you choose
which Calendar to use, regardless of the currently "selected" one in the
tree. It would be even more confusing to the users, if that dialog
doesn't let the user choose some of his Calendars for no obvious reason.

Sure. :)  Create a New Calendar and choose Type "On the Web". Enter the
URL, and you're done.

Now where to get these calendars? Well, any publicly available iCalendar
file will do. One resource for those Calendar files is iCalShare. It
offers a lot of Calendars I referred to, like holidays and sports.

Some other Calendars might be offered directly by those who care, like
the release schedule example: 
  webcal://www.gnome.org/start/unstable/schedule.ics

The complete TV guide was an experiment and a custom script. I don't
know, if he really uses it.

If you or anyone else believes, some particular behavior really is wrong
or you found a bug, feel free to file it. This is Free Software, and any
user can raise his voice.

Sure, there is no guarantee to get it implemented, but if it really is a
bug, it will get fixed eventually.
