using evolution in conjunction with websites

There is a common application used on websites.If one clicks a button one's own e-mail client is invoked and the normal NEW or COMPOSE page alone is presented. I need to know what to do or request so that my Evolution installation can be used in the same way. It can be done; I asked my colleagues in CentOs the same question and lo and behold within a couple of days the wand was waved and the effect was there. I need that effect because of my daily work which requires me to check-in and communicate with up to a dozen blogs- all of which have those *send* buttons.
