Galeon upgrade

Greetings - Last week, Red Carpet offered me two different galeon upgrades to my SuSE 9 Pro/XD2 system. The first was for a non-ximian file. I installed it and galeon would no longer open. I used Red Carpet to downgrade back to my current version and it worked fine. The next day, Red Carpet offered me another galeon upgrade but this time it was the XD2 version. So I installed it, thinking that the previous upgrade didn't work because it wasn't the XD2 version. Wrong. The XD2 version of the upgrade wouldn't open either. So I again downgraded back to v. 1.3.7-48.ximian.8.2.4. What's going on? The current version works fine, to the extent that I use it. What am I missing in the latest upgrade?
