Have you tried red-carpet to do an online install from Ximian? That's how I did it. Once red-carpet has installed XD2, the rpms will be in /var/cache/red-carpet/packages. From there, you can copy them to anywhere you like and batch install them. That's grossly over-simplified, but it gives you the idea.
