My current advice for institutional installation, if physical media are
not already available:

1) Set up an nfs server, if you don't have one already.
2) Make a directory on the nfs server with all the SUSE packages.
3) Make another directory on the nfs server with all the XD2/Evolution/
Red Carpet packages (downloaded from ftp) that you want installed.
4) Make one or more other directories on the nfs server for packages you
don't necessarily want installed, but which you might want to install.
5) Install rug and rcd on each client box with rpm -Uvh
6) Mount the nfs directories on each client box
7) rug mount the nfs directories
8) rug in --entire-channel the directory that has all the packages you
want to install.

This should work much better than the "make physical media" approach,
which will still hit the Internet if you don't have all the necessary
SUSE packages installed.
