Good Afternoon,
As you can tell by the subject line, many different variables are
now in place and we are just about to the point where we can roll out
our pilot deployment of linux desktops. We have SUSE 9.0 on our boxes
and we now have XD2 installed. The final piece is getting the linux
machines to login to our eDirectory (Novell) backend via LDAP. I have
been messing around with the LDAP Client within YAST, but so far I have
been unable to login to the linux box using a valid eDirectory
credential on our network.
Can anyone provide some reference material or advice on getting LDAP
authentication to work with a Netware (eDirectory) backend? In
addition, my backend eDirectory server is on Netware and not on a Linux
box - does this matter? Lastly, what are others using as far as
authentication on linux machines on a network?
I appreciate any help!

Thanks,
Jimmy Benson
