Not really anything to do with XD2 I guess, but pam_ncp_auth might be worth
a look:

That module takes care of creating the linux home directories, automounts
the user's NW home dir etc.
That article is written for Fedora Core 2, but the same applies to SuSE,
except that SuSE has pam_unix2.so instead of pam_stack.so.
