I have installed the unsupported version of Ximian Desktop 2 with no apparent problems. I have configured a printer within the print manager application and can print from OpenOffice with access to finishing options (printer properties). My question is how can I print from within Acrobat? What command line options do I need to include? I am used to printing using KDE Print and have previously accessed this from Acrobat via the KPrinter command. If I add the same command within Ximian Desktop, K Printer briefly appears and then crashes. I can see that the standard Ximian print setup does not use KDE Print so I'm guessing that it uses Gnome Print? How can I 'call' gnome print from within an application such as Acrobat. Thanks Marc
