Re: en_NZ locale causes no dictionaries to work - how to work around it?

It is most likely in "/usr/lib/aspell".  To command:

   aspell dump config dict-dir
   aspell dump config data-dir

Will let you know where Aspell expects to find the dictionary and/or 
data files.

For a full dump of the config use "aspell dump config".
