That is great and highly appreciated!

The best way of contributing translations is looking out for
prereleases. If you translate the texts for them, your translation will
be up to date for the final release and can be included in it.

You only have to send the .po file, the .gmo is generated from the .po

When you start a translation, please check if there is already a fr.po
file there, so you could build upon what others already did.

I committed the French translation to our SVN, it will be included in
the next release!
