I don't fully understand the earlier comments.  I do have a simple question.


As the result of different decoding, the rgb from a same jpeg file can be
different in ML vs. Octave.  Is it correct? 

If it is correct, do u agree that the whole image processing in Octave is
incompatible with ML for the jpeg image format?
