[bug #47173] mtimes allows arguments with >= 3 dimensions

I believe it was that report that made me remember this one.  

In this case, i think the fix would just be an ndim>2 input validation check.
don't know if that would cause other errors elsewhere, but IMHO other octave
could probably shouldn't be depending on that mtimes behavior anyway.
