Thanks, it looks pretty useful. I also see that the HDF5 API has changed quite
a bit, are we looking to support old versions of the library? For example,
"H5Giterate()" is deprecated since v1.8 in favour of "H5Literate()", which
does not seem to be part of the API compatibility macros they provide
(https://support.hdfgroup.org/documentation/hdf5/latest/api-compat-macros.html).

Some methods like "H5GOpen()" are already covered by this, but not all.
