[bug #68353] file_stat fails on a file in a tmpfs file system on an i386 architecture

I incorporated it] into the Debian package octave-dicom and it is now building
correctly on an i386 system.

However, I wonder if this is not a bug in Octave. Shouldn't the
-D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 option be automatically activated for mkoctfile when
running on i386?
