Hello,
I set up alias ls as ls -F --color=auto in .bash_profile and it works fine.
However, when I start screen, it does not work. Do I need any special
setting in .screenrc? Thanks

system: 2.6.35.13-92.fc14.x86_64

.screenrc

hardstatus alwayslastline
hardstatus string '%{= kG}[ %{G}%H %{g}][%=
%{=kw}%?%-Lw%?%{r}(%{W}%n*%f%t%?(%u)%?%{r})%{w}%?%+Lw%?%?%=
%{g}][%{B}%Y-%m-%d %{W}%c %{g}]'

# Default screens
......

altscreen on
shell $SHELL

Thanks a lot!

Jingxin
