I would like to have the result of the "windows" command to be
shown on my hardstatus line at all times (without typing ^A^W).
This would allow me to catch updates by the appearance of the '!'
character next to the window's id.
Is it possible to do this, or a better way? Any help is greatly
appreciated.
The line currently looks like this:
22:17|| 0 xmms 1* mutt 2 naim 3 w3m
If #2 updates, then it could look like this, I would like it to
look like this permanently:
22:18|| 0-$ xmms 1*$ mutt 2!$ naim 3$ w3m
I have this option set to turn hardstatus on constantly:
hardstatus alwayslastline "%c|| %w||"
Version:
Screen version 3.09.15 (FAU) 13-Mar-03
