General Performance Questions

Hi All,

After finally getting Chromium 1.8 built and configured. I've noticed  
that the demo applications and my own have at least a factor of 2  
degradation in frame rates when run under Chromium. I did expect  
reduced frame rates, but not to the extent I'm observing. I'm running  
everything on one box at this point so network latency isn't even a  
factor yet.

I'm completely green w.r.t. Chromium, so please forgive any ignorance  
included in this question:

Is it a reasonable assumption that I can expect frame rates to be  
effectively halved if I run my application under Chromium?
