The typical issue is display lists that contain state-change commands 
take extra effort for proper handling.  The tilesort SPU has special 
options for that.

It shouldn't crash though.  Send a stack trace if you can.

A 100Mbits/sec network might give you 10MBytes/sec.  Divide that by 
the number of vertices * bytes per vertex.  You may be surprised how 
low the resulting vertex rate is, especially compared to a graphics 
card's rating.
