Hmm, I've searched high and low on the web, but I couldn't find a
reliable piece of information that could help me make msys prefer the
Perl installed in windows to its own version. Should I just edit
Jamconfig.msvcgen

Yes, you are right! I've managed to track one of the bugs error messages:

ResponseFile1 ./out/msvcgen/temp8/libwalktest_static_plugins.resp
MsvcTTree msvcgenrun
Can't locate Template.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /usr/lib/perl5/5.8/msys
/usr/lib/perl5/5.8 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8
/msys /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8
/usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8/msys /usr/lib/perl5/vendo
r_perl/5.8 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8 .) at /c/Perl64/site/bin/ttree
line 31.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /c/Perl64/site/bin/ttree line 31.

     ttree -f \./out/msvcgen/temp8/ttree.rc --verbose --load_perl --all

...failed MsvcTTree msvcgenrun ...
CreateDepFlagsFile ./out/mk/msvc/crystalspace_staticplugins_msvc8.jam

I don't really know what to make of this error.

Okay, I understand, I'll stop being so picky, hehe! But isn't the
testing of the modifiable entities going to take place in that editor?
Then again, the bugs won't really stand in our way, and the api will be
just as easy to use in a re-made editor, so I guess that's not really
important right now.

Well, now it seems that as soon as I manage to the project generation to
work, I'll be able to test out and start working on the project!

So from what I've understood, we're not going to tie the work I'll be
doing to the actual editor program too much, right?

And regarding the discussion between you, jorrit and sueastside - this
is about the shared GL context for multiple 3D views in a single
application you guys were talking about something like a month ago,
right? Also, what's the word on upgrading to wxWidgets 2.9? Should I
switch to it for my project? (although as far as what my project is
concerned, I don't think that there are too many (if any) api
differences between 2.8 and 2.9).
