I always supposed that there is at least an issue with the normals of the
hair strips: AFAIK they are computed in order to face the camera, although
these normals should not be dependent on the camera position (and for
example, the current aspect of an hair strip vary unnaturaly when you
rotate the camera around). The normals of an air strip should a priori
never vary unless the shape of the strip is changed.
