Hello again Stefano First I would like to thank you for getting my sourceForge repository set up, hopefully I will be using it in a day or two, I want to get the first mesh working completely (i.e. without any bugs in the generation of the mesh, since currently I am using very basic and inefficient methods, i.e. glVertex commands opposed to vertex buffers or vertex arrays[I am using these simply for convenience while figuring out the algorithms] ). I have to say that I am enjoying this open ended problem solving experience even if there is very little reference material out in the open, and I am really looking forward to getting this first mesh finished (which I feel should be finished soon). Next I have sorted out how the resolution on the spheres will work, I am going with an exponential model to keep the math as simple as possible. I am working on figuring out exactly how to handle the corners and I have a few ideas floating around my desk at the moment and I am currently testing them. I have found that whenever I log into the irc channel in the first week there was no one online (but I blame this on my strange sleep schedule so I will try to sync up with everyone and work earlier in the day so that I can participate in the irc). So I have new updates that you can see as always here http://crystalspacegeodesicsphere.tumblr.com/. and I will upload the first fully functional version to the sourcforge account once I get the spherical mesh working 100%.
