btw, i'm nearing completion of the intelligent design version of
darwin@home!  i'm playing around a lot these days, and it's exciting
to be able to make the selection choices yourself and see how fast you
can evolve the behavior you want.  it's a lot faster than with the
automatic selection based on distance, and it's richer because you can
train a body to walk sideways or backwards, or make circles.

i predict that in less than a year we will be driving creatures around
using some kind of joystick-like control.  yank the joystick to the
left and the body starts to lurch to the left in its own evolved way.
forward and it starts striding.  wouldn't that be a lot of fun?
