Picasa 2 has some great features - like its speed in displaying NEF files and its handy timeline feature. To get Imatch categories into it, I have transfered those as keywords to the IPTC fields of the respective images using the excellent script IMatch-2-IPTC 2.72.bas in the files section here and suppressing top-level category import. Picasa then recognises keywords. By default there is am implicit AND in Picasa when you add multiple keywords. There is also an undocumented NOT. If you preface a keyword with a minus sign, it will suppress images with that keyword from the results set. I'm quite impressed with it as a fast way to view all sorts of media files, and it would be interesting to, if possible, transfer my IMatch categories to the Picassa database to play around with it a bit more. It certainly won't replace IMatch, but it does have some nice UI features, and I like it's ability (which I know is coming soon to IMatch) to handle what appears to be a wide variety of video files. > > - David > > ___________________________________________________________ > Sent by ePrompter, the premier email notification software. > Free download at http://www.ePrompter.com.
