UBBThreads is a commercial product used on thousands of web sites. Since the
software has no "individual emails" feature yet (after two years of development)
and there is also no "extension" available that does this, I think that the
demand for such a feature is not that high.
If UBBThreads will be extended by such a feature and it's not too expensive, I
will buy it of course.

(And yes, I tried open source alternatives for the forum software).


You cannot judge the demand for such a feature from this thread ;-)

* When you log into the forum, you immediately see which 
forums hold new postings.

* You get daily digests for the forums you want

* You can get a live RSS feed from all the postings

* The search function works

* The interface is much richer than Yahoo's 

* No advertisements

Is that so difficult to add an option to the software (is it open source?
didn't check) to send individual emails to whom configures it? Or is it a
question of server traffic, which yahoo solves with not much assle?
