Threads are not really;y anything special. In outlook and most other email
applications you just click on subject and you instantly have everything
sorted by threads. I find it just as easy to sort them in my head IF I keep
up with the forum. The major problem with the ubb is that it is TOO SLOW to
use. You have to sign on, find the latest threads (for each thread) reply,
use your spell checker etc, I could reply to this forum MUCH more quickly
that ubb. This one is almost like instant messaging.
That is really the biggest compliant about ubb, and the fact that I now have
another place to keep up with, otherwise it is fine, maybe even better than
YAHOO in some ways.

I bet there are still many more people here than on the other one? I don';t
know how many may be lost , for at least a while?
Since ubb seems to be the choice , like it or not, I hope all eventually
move over so none of the great help provided by this user community is lost.
I have joined the other under a new id but I do follow it there too. I set
up an rss and digests. RSS does not get updated as often as digest so
digest are better. I only have to go to the forum when I want to make a
post.
That seems a fairly reasonable workaround until they create the individual
emails ability.
Right now the digests seem to come out fairly often, more than once a day
so that is not too bad.

If one were to read only the messages since the new forum was announced, I
would
agree. However, a search of the messages over all the years will return an
entirely different picture.

At the new forum is a thread:
Nice forum
    #248 - Sun Jan 30 2005 12:10 PM (24.158.195.40)

Love the new forum. This is SO much nicer than Yahoo Groups. Thanks and
thanks
for a great product.

Yes, very very nice !!!
:-)

I'll echo that too. Makes it a lot easier to see where the new posts are &
read
threads as a unified thread (Rather than individual messages).

Cool Mario, I remember suggesting this 1000 years ago. Great to see it's
been
enacted.

Thank you, thank you Mario for this new forum! Finally.

Definetely agree! Much, much, much nicer than Yahoo!

It has six replies. Since people are ten times more likely to write
complaints
then to write thank you messages, I find that a sizable number.
