There's a magnet tool in the toolbar and the tool palette. (You have to expand the Tools part of the toolbar to see it there; click the arrow to the right of Tools if it's collapsed.) If you want to make the magnets visible select Magnets in the View menu or click the Extras button on the toolbar. If magnets are not visible in the view settings, they'll show up when the magnet tool hovers over the object.
