Re: Format of date in document data

OmniGraffle uses Unix date format specifiers within its own syntax for
variables. To see this use one of the date format objects in the Variables
stencil. For example, use the first one, showing "01/31/12" for today.
(Localization may vary the format; this is what I see in the USA. You'll
probably see "31/01/12".) Drag it onto the digram and double-click on it
to show the underlying syntax. I see "<%Date %m/%d/%y%>." To get your long
format, change it to "<%Date  %A %e %B %Y%>." That example has spaces as
separators. As the original one shows, you can put whatever separator
you'd like to use (slash, comma, etc.) between specifiers.

You can make a stencil with formats that you'll use frequently.
