But there's a better way. Go into Omnigraffle's preferences, and in the =
General tab check the Show template chooser option.

You can set your custom template as the default, either in the Template =
Chooser, or in OmniGraffle's preferences pane.

To alter the behavior of the shape and text tools, Option-click the tool =
in question; the tool button gets highlighted in your highlight color to =
show that you are inspecting it. then you make make you desired changes =
via the inspectors.

While the tool is being inspected, any change you make applies to the =
tool itself. For instance, if you make the Line tool's stroke color red, =
every line you draw with it will have a red stroke.

You can always select Restore Defaults from a tool's pop-up menu to =
reset it.
