Re: Impedements to libpng-1.7.0 release?

Thank you for that explanation.  After reading your response, I, of
course, looked up information about Glenn on the internet.  Obviously,
it is very sad.  I extend my condolences to anyone who knew him.

As for the technical issues, I am happy to work toward incremental
improvement based on the 1.6 branch.  I see that libpng16 and master
are presently identical.  I expect I'll try submitting a trivial patch
in the next few days just to try out the submission process and then
will aim to submit more useful things after that.
