Neither.  I mean the original MinGW, which is alive,
kicking, and supports Windows XP. MinGW-W64 fails to live up
to its name (which is a copyright violation), because it is
not miminalist in any sense.

I don't believe my Windows XP can be blamed for the failure
of libpng's ./configure script.
