Ok, Phil, I understand your objection. But could you please suggest an
alternative formulation of that paragraph, removing the redundancy
that you dislike, so that we can either adopt it as is, or rephrase it
in a way that is to everyone's liking?

I personally have a preference for text that is both concise and
clear. I don't mind redundancy as long as it's brief and extra-useful
(e.g. it provides a useful example, or a good clarification that could
prevent the reader from mis-interpreting the surrounding text).
However, I am myself often guilty of writing long paragraphs, and I
have to spend additional mental effort to make them shorter (which,
obviously, I am not doing right now).
