I'm looking into that issue in general. My research has, however, been 
slowed a bit by getting a new job. Given that the bulk of Win32 calls 
are encapsulated and they are also not used extensively, it appears that 
unicows.dll might not even be needed.

I'm up to speed now, so can start back in on my research. Is there 
anyone else other than Lauris who cares about these issues, or is 
everyone just in "user" mode on it?
