This is a great advancement. Still, why shouldn't the toolbar be as well? I've been working with adobe programs too much, to like docked toolbars and I would like that in sodipodi too. But however, since dialogs are always on top, it's not that important anymore, because yes, one can just dock the toolbar and maximize as you do.
