Can't build 0.34 on older systems

This probably isn't relevant to most of you, but recent changes to sodipodi require at least gtk+-2.2 in order to compile. There are numerous other dependencies to get a gtk+-2.2 installed on my old RH7.3 system, so there won't be any packages forthcoming. The only dependency I can see is in src/helper/window.c where a call to the function gtk_window_set_taskbar_hint() has been added. Commenting out that clause seems to be fine and lets me build/use sodipodi with gtk+-2.0. If there is interest in a sodipodi package for RH7.3, I can create a patch and put the package together. Perhaps there should be an up to date dependencies list somewhere (apologies if there is one). The README says that libgtk+-x11-2.0_0-devel-2.0.6-8mdk.i586.rpm is required to build for MDK 9.0 and I've got 2.0.6-10 installed on my RH7.3 system. The good news is that 0.34 appears to be much more responsive than what I built from CVS around the middle of january. BTW - spsvgview never has built for me due to the gtk_window_fullscreen/unfullscreen() calls (more gtk+-2.2 dependencies). -- Lynn Kerby <mailto:[email protected]> ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net is sponsored by: Speed Start Your Linux Apps Now.
