Re: [Flags] Some corrections.

Hello,

This basque flag was in fact created by Sabino Arana (1865-1903).
It doesn't coming from middle age at all.
Arana was inspired by the brittany Union Jack flag.

History :
- Henry IV (king of Navare) become King of France.
   There was a queen of Navarre-bearn too.
- 1932 = autonomy is given but Navarre (part of Basque in France) refused.
- 1979 = autonomy is given again by King Ruan Carlos but Navarre refused 
again.
The basque flag is used by this autonomy government.

Todays, we can say that some basque prefer to be :
- Spanish and Basque,
- French and Basque,
or only National Basque ...
(this is a problem between basques : Union du peuple navarrais (UPN) was 
created against national basque... or others want to create a department 
of basque but still in France)
In france, there is no problems about autonomy as in spain, (French 
basque are in the departement of Pyrenees-Atlantiques and don't ask  for 
a government autonomy : they refused themself twice.)
In Fact, Navare brought a lot of things to kingdom of France then to the 
republic of France (General de Gaulle says : we'll never forget what 
basques have done for France during the second world war).
Basque in Spain have more problems with Spain even if they have a 
government.

So I agree this Basque Flag is more "Spain, Basque" because in France 
there is no basque government at all.
For french basque we should use the historic basque cross or armory 
coasts of the 7 provinces like provinces of Corsica or Normandy... :
