Well, to be honest I am not sure. I guess I probably wanted the honour
of making the most evil flag in the collection and I also wanted to see
what would happen if I submitted it. The other reason was probably that
I saw the nazi eagle while watching Steven Speilburg's masterpiece and
one of my personal favourite movies: "Schindler's List" on Thursday. I
then looked for similar eagles on the Internet and saw them on Hitler's
standard, an interesting flag that I really wanted to draw.

As for the wasted time: I enjoyed drawing it. It was a challenging flag
and if I wasn't drawing it I would have probably been playing a computer
game or looking at funny articles on www.fark.com or something equally
futile.

Although I would be lying if I told you that this was not at least
partially an immature stunt to get angry emails, for what it's worth I
did not think it would offend people actually inside the project. My
reasoning was that it would probably omitted from the collection and
that would give Lauris and Christian the ability to say that they had
omitted some more offencive Nazi flags but decided to leave the other
one in thus proving that they are discerning and ending this stupid
argument once and for all.

So basically I feel quite content with the way I spent those hours.
Maybe I have created a flag with minimal use in the scheme of things.
Maybe I have caused a good many people to think that I am a fascist.
Maybe I have proven myself to be an immature twit or a graphical troll.
But I did not waste those hours, I enjoyed myself.
