Y-0.2.1 not working

Greeting,
	I have tried compiling and installing Y-0.2.1. That went fine, but when 
I tried to run startY I got the message "server exited before starting 
up" or something like that. The only thing I have been able to get 
(partially) working (I tried also 0.2, 0.2.1) is Y--devel--patch26. That 
one works fine, but it does not display fonts. I have a Gentoo Linux 
system. I noticed the change from libsigc++-1.0 to 1.2 (I have both 
versions), is it somehow related to Y not working at the moment?
