I know why it doesn't work, since I (deliberately) broke it. yiterm is
basically a dead loss; it needs doing over from scratch. I didn't care
enough to rewrite the keyboard engine for ykb; it's non-trivial and
would be a waste of time since yiterm sucks anyway and will die in a
great deal of pain as soon as something better is ready. So I just
replaced it with a really cheap hack, but (as you noticed) it's
grossly incomplete.

I can go into excruciating detail if anybody actually needs to
implement it, but I kinda expect I'll have to do that one myself. ykb
is arranged to make real Y applications easier and more flexible; a
side-effect of this is that it makes terminal emulation a bit more
involved (unlike xkb, which feels like a terminal, making everything
else harder). In the absence of any examples, the way to approach it
is not obvious.

mpd client, please. Took me bloody years to find something less
agonising than xmms, and now I'm firmly convinced it's the right
way. My audio player should not be slaved to the user interface, it
should survive the restart of the rendering server. Which actually
means this is trivial. I could whip one up in a couple of days, except
that I'd have to write a dozen or so new widgets and this is entirely
the wrong time to be writing new widgets.

Gah, the list of prerequisites boggles the mind. This is *really*
heavy on the obscure stuff. That'll most likely be the last thing that
happens, with the possible exception of:

I am not touching the mozilla code. Under any circumstances. I would
