Hi everybody, I am able to backup my clie with coldsync, therefore the usb stuff should be set up correctly. But whether I use jpilot or pilot-xfer to backup my clie (syncing the conduits should be the next step which should work if backups are possible, right?), I only get a message like er@placebo:~:104 > pilot-xfer -p /dev/ttyUSB0 -b pda Port: /dev/ttyUSB0 Please press the HotSync button now... and then nothing happens (probably the clie doesn't receive any "go" signal). Since coldsync also asks me to press the HotSync button after I already did, but then for coldsync the syncing starts right away without pressing the HotSync button again (which of course doesn't make sence), I wonder why jpilot/pilot-xfer don't start the syncing. Do I have to use any settings? For example, the .jpilot/jpilot.rc file says jpilotrc jpilotrc.default time 1 sdate 2 ldate 2 fdow 1 show_deleted 0 show_modified 0 hide_completed 0 highlight_days 1 port /dev/ttyUSB0 rate 10 user user_id 0 ... the given port is the same that I use with coldsync. Are user and user_id filled after the first syncing worked or do I have to enter these by hand? And are there additional settings for jpilot/pilot-link? I've read that once pilot-link is running, jpilot will also work, so what should I do? appreciating your input, Elmar mailto:[email protected] _______________________________________________ clie-linux mailing list [email protected] http://kreucher.net/mailman/listinfo/clie-linux Sony Clié and Linux Homepage: http://kreucher.net/clie/
