syncing nr70v with kpilot

Dear All,
I'm new to Linux/PDA connection and I'm trying to sync
my old (but nice) Clie NR70V with Korganizer using
Kpilot (on SuSE 9.0).

My problem is that when I run Kpilot, it says:

And when I try to sync it doesn't work... what could
be the reason? Any help would be appreciated.

Here are some technical details:

Visor modules are working fine since I'm able to see
the memorystick as a sda1 by pressing msconnect on the
PDA.

I created a symlink palm and pilot to /dev/ttyUSB1 as
explained in the visor howto.

When I press the sync button on the craddle this is
what appears in /var/log/messages
