I meant that the little box which says "Connecting.." on the Clie 
changed to "Connection Established"[*] and then disappeared. Also, pppd 
messages seemed to show that a connection had indeed been established, 
although it actually hadn't.

[*] Not sure if those are the exact messages, but I hope you know what 
I'm talking about.


PS - On a different topic, does anyone know of a decent USENET news 
reader for the Clie. I've got yanoff (??), but it's a bit poor. Some 
sort of client which could take advantage of HiRes screen would be good. 
If not, I'll probably write my own.
