pilot-xfer works perfect. i plug in the clie, hit hotsync while tail
-f'ing /var/log/messages, and just run pilot-xfer -b /tmp -p
/dev/usb/tts/3 (in this case it showed 3, sometimes its 1, sometimes i
keep trying and its 5, 7, 9, etc). pilot-xfer worked as directed. but
still, i cannot get it to sync with evolution.

just an excerpt from /var/log/messages:

i have pilot link 0.11.7, just upgraded to 0.11.8 and pilot-xfer works
great. but for the life of me cant get it to play nice with evolution.
if anyone can assist me on this, i am going to try and boot back into
2.4.20 w/ visor patch and see if that works. the gpilotd restart fix, or
anything i'm missing is greatly appreciated.

tia,
jeff
