2 questions - compilation environment & Gpe-appmgr related

Hi all,

Now I successfully compiled many of the applications & libraries with GPE.
Thanx to Philippe for clarifying my doubts.

I have two questions in GPE.

1) Does GPE have a compilation environment like OPIE or anything similar.
   Opie compilation is very user friendly with 'make menuconfig' for
selecting the required packages.
   Iam not aware of these environments as iam new to GPE.
2) In the gpe-appmgr, we get a 'notebook' kind of environment with 
   'PIM, Internet, Games, Settings, Actions, Other'  frames. Also I have
gpe-calendar compiled on my host computer. 
   If I want 'gpe-calendar' icon to come in 'PIM' Frame, how to configure
this.
