Hello,
I would like to compile Konqueror Embedded, in a later
version than the version provided in the Familiar
0.8.4 distribution (I would like a version of Konqi
with SSL enabled, and with a working HTTP proxying
functionnality).
I will do it "by hand", downloading myself and using
configure and Makefiles tools, because :
- The limited capacities of my PC (limited memory and
hard disk sizes, slow internet connexion) don't allow
me to use good but heavy integrated tools as
OpenEmbedded, bitbake and so on.
- I like to know exactly what I do when building an
executable, even if it takes me more time :-)
So, I install a recent tarball of Konqueror,
- 1 / But for the Qt libraries, what should I install
and compile, before compiling Konqueror ?
The QPE sources (QtPalmtop Environment) ?
or Qtopia sources ?
or OPIE sources ?
or Qt_Embedded sources ?
There are so many alternatives that I am a bit lost
...
- 2 / Will I manage to compile Qt libraries and
Konqueror with the toolchain provided in handhelds.org
? (ie : the arm-linux-gcc-3.4.1.tar.bz2 toolchain
located in :
http://www.handhelds.org/download/projects/toolchain/
)
Or should I take another pre-built toolchain ?
Thanks in advance for any answer or advice, that could
permit me to begin on sane basis.
