how many write cycles can an ipaq rom endure?

Hi I have reinstalled WinCE in my iPAQ h3900 because I got a HP Pocket PC 2003 upgrade CD and was curious to test it. Previously my handheld had Familiar 0.8.4 with GPE. I have gone through this process of flashing the ROM storage some 7 or 8 times since I got it, second hand. Now that I'm contemplating installing Familiar again and playing a little with the dev environment (as I have been postponing learning about OE) I have a question: How many times can I flash an OS into my iPAQ's ROM before it gets damaged? My previous experiences with EEPROM and Flash memories were with chips that endured 10000+ writing cycles. Do I have to worry? -- /* Juan Pablo Ramirez * <ROT13>whfg nabgure yvahk trrx</ROT13> * GPG Key 0xE5296C68 */ _______________________________________________ The Familiar Linux Distribution Familiar mailing list [email protected] https://handhelds.org/mailman/listinfo/familiar irc://irc.freenode.net #familiar
