The kernel was build with a 3.3.x version compiler. Opie can be built with either 3.3.x or 3.4.x (at least the version of Opie that comes with familiar). Recent versions of Opie can compile against 4.1.x. > - which version of binutils ? 2.15.96 > Erik Hovland wrote on this list some weeks ago that > the Glibc was the 2.3.3 Still true. > (I asks this because I can't use OE, because of the > limited capacities of my computer an interned > connexion) > > > I am a bit confused because : > > - on ftp://ftp.handhelds.org/projects/toolchain/ we > have the following prebuilt toolchains of > handhelds.org : > arm-linux-gcc-3.3.2 > arm-linux-gcc-3.4.1 The 3.3.2 toolchain is easily the most applicable to what you want to do. It will compile everything while 3.4.1 will fail on building the 2.4 kernel in hh.org cvs. E -- Erik Hovland mail: [email protected] web: http://hovland.org/ PGP/GPG public key available on request _______________________________________________ The Familiar Linux Distribution Familiar mailing list [email protected] https://handhelds.org/mailman/listinfo/familiar irc://irc.freenode.net #familiar
