AW: iPAQ 3660 not responding to anything after being unused for several months

I once had the same problem – seams that your battery was completeley empty
and may be damaged. To prevent this, you should have switched your iPAQ off
with the “dip-switch”, which pysically disconnects the battery (no
discharging, no recharging in this state).

 

Try recharging the battery for a while without switching your device on.
Mayby you can revive your battery. Anyway you will experience a dramatically
shortened uptime of your battery until you have to recharge. Consider bying
a jacket (with WLAN and Card-slots) or a new internal battery.

 

Changing the internal battery may brick your iPAQ and … you will loose your
warranty…just kidding…

Hi,

I have an old 3660 ipaq with familiar linux in it. It was left unused for
several months and now it is not showing anything life in it. If I plug
charger to it, power led starts to blink. If I press the reset button, led
will turn off and start blinking again after I release the button. That is
all I can get out of it, it seems that I can't turn that on. Screen is
showing nothing, there is no serial output, power led only blinks. What I
can do?
