Hi I have installed Familiar 0.8.4 on a ipaq 3950. I am no Linux guru, but I run Ubuntu 7.10. Now I just need to get the usb networking up and running. Can someone please help me find out where the problems are? When I put the ipaq in the usb cradle, there are no indication of an USB device being connected. The wiki doc UsbNet say Ubuntu will automatically load "the cdc_subset driver", but... ??? I also say I may need to load cdc_ether manually, but I can't find anything with that name. How/where can I see in Ubuntu if the pda is connected? If it is not, then what is most likely the problem? I have enabled g_ether (I think...) on the ipaq by follow the steps in WindowsXpUsbNetworkHowTo.
